Gastronomicom International Culinary Academy:
Gastronomicom International Culinary Academy is a leading culinary institute with a modern, unique campus in the South of France that offers a range of certificate and diploma programs to international students from around the world. Located in Agde, a lively town next to a beautiful Mediterranean seaside resort in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, our courses include cooking and pastry hands-on classes in English; practical work experience (internships) and French language courses.

Quality Culinary Arts Courses - Taught in English:

• Gourmet Certificate Courses - 1 month:
Photo of Learn French Cooking in FranceWe offer Gourmet programs for 4 weeks with 30 hours of lessons per week. These courses include 15 hours each of "hands-on" cookery and pastry classes, taught at a one star Michelin level.

Students work in teams to help each other and learn together. All of your weekends are free.

- French Cooking:
The French cookery classes cover:  Cold Starters; Hot Starters; Fish and their Sauces, Meats and their Sauces.

- French Pastry:
The French Pastry classes cover:  Breads, Viennoiseries, Doughs; Cakes and Entremets; Chocolates; Plate Desserts and Decoration.

Sugar Decoration (15 hours):
  This course is a first approach to Sugar Art integrating Puffed and Pulled Sugar Techniques. It consists of 3 hours of Sugar Art lessons per day over 5 days. It can be taken while attending another program provided a minimum of 6 students register for the course.

Chocolate Showpiece (15 hours):  This program consists of 3 hours of Chocolate showpiece lessons per day over 5 days. It has to be taken by students attending another program, but it is necessary for a minimum of 6 students to register for the course. 


• Gastronomic Certificate Courses - 8 weeks or 12 weeks:
We offer Gastronomic programs for 8 weeks or 12 weeks with 30 hours of lessons per week, including "hands-on" cookery classes or pastry classes. All the weekends are free and you have a 1 week mid-term break to travel around France.

- French Cooking + Intensive French: 
15 hours of hands-on Cooking classes and 15 hours of French lessons per week. The program is made up of 3 modules of 4 weeks. 

Subjects covered include: Cold Starters; Hot Starters; Fish and their Sauces, Meats and their Sauces. These are the same subjects as covered in the 1 month program but are different dishes along with a higher level of difficulty.

15 hours of  hands-on Pastry classes and 15 hours of French lessons per week. The program comprises 3 Modules, each of 4 weeks duration.

Subjects covered include: Breads, Viennoiseries, Doughs; Cakes and Entremets; Chocolates; Plate Desserts and Decoration. These are the same subjects as covered in the 1 month program but are different pastries along with a higher level of difficulty.


• 7-month Full Gastronomic / Internship Programs:
Our full programs consist of a 3 month gastronomic course as listed above + 4 months training course (internship) in a luxury Hotel restaurant in France.

Gastronomicom students receive a stipend of 524 Euro per month (fixed regular sum paid) once the internship period of the training begins.


• One-Year Gastronomic Diploma Programs:
- Diploma in Gastronomic Pastry: 3 month Gastronomic Pastry course; 3 month Gastronomic Cooking course; 6 month internship

- Diploma in Gastronomic Cooking:  3 month Gastronomic Cooking Course; 3 month Gastronomic Pastry Course; 6 month internship

Gastronomicom students receive a stipend of 524 Euro per month (fixed regular sum paid) once the internship period of the training begins.

• Two-Year Diploma in Gastronomic Food & Beverage Management:
Picture of Learn French Cooking in FranceFor this diploma course, you have the choice of two options: a) Cooking & Pastry or b) Restaurant Management & Wines.

Students with a minimum of 5 years professional experience at a recognized luxury establishment AND an advanced level of French may qualify for direct entry into the second year of the course. 

Course Content:
- Year 1:  A preparatory course similar to the normal one-year program offered by Gastronomicom.

- Year 2:  3 month University Level Management course; 3 month Practical Management course; 6 month Internship at a Luxury Hotel-Restaurant in France. Please note that all Management Courses are taught in French.

Gastronomicom students receive a stipend of 524 Euro per month (fixed regular sum paid) once the internship period of the training begins.
