General English Courses:
Our General English Courses offer a programme of study for students who wish to improve their level of confidence, accuracy and fluency in Communicative English language skills. Our General English Morning classes offer a balanced and comprehensive programme in speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, pronunciation, vocabulary development and grammar.

Our General English Afternoon classes focus on the major communicative functions and language used in everyday spoken English and the development of English language skills.  All our General English Courses allow a high degree of flexibility to enable the programme to meet the needs of the students and our small classes (average 6 students per class) ensure that each student has the optimum opportunity to improve their Communicative English Skills.

Business English Course:
This course is specifically designed to meet the needs of those who wish to develop effective English skills in the areas of business communication. This course is offered on a 1-1 basis and can be taken in conjunction with a Part Time General English Course.

SELI is part of the Southern Institute of Technology a government funded polytechnic. Learn English in New Zealand! Originally founded in Christchurch in 1989, Aspiring Language Institute is a private, exclusive English language school that now operates from our Auckland campus which opened in 2011. We provide quality English language courses for international students from around the world. We teach students at all levels - from elementary to advanced. Our courses include preparation for the IELTS and Cambridge FCE and CAE exams.

Our school is conveniently located on Albert Street, in the middle of Auckland CBD, just a few minutes away from Sky Tower, shops, restaurants and cafes. It is a very convenient location for students who can also enjoy free internet, coffee and the pool table during the breaks.

We are a rather small school with no more than 80 students at any time so than we can keep a close relationship with the students. Taylors College Auckland provides specialised university preparation programs in partnership with leading universities in New Zealand. With successful completion of the Taylors Auckland Foundation Year (TAFY), you will be guaranteed entry into the University of Auckland, AUT University and Massey University. You may also apply for other universities in NZ, Australia, UK or the USA. In 2010, 85% of TAFY students were offered a tertiary place. Our university preparation courses are open to students from New Zealand and international students from around the world.

There are two study options available for Taylors Auckland Foundation Year. If you have superior grades in English and relevant subjects and want to fast track your pathway to University, you can take the Intensive (Accelerated) Program. Intake is in April only and the course is 30 weeks. If you have achieved at least average grades in English and relevant subjects, the Standard Program will be suitable for you. You can start your study in January (39 weeks), July (39 weeks) or August (36 weeks).

Our Certificate in Pre-Foundation Studies has been designed to prepare you for academic study at foundation level.
