The Southern Baptist Academy’s K-12 courses bring a Kingdom Education to your household! The Southern Baptist Academy (SBA), based in Dallas, TX, is dedicated to bringing a thoroughly Christian education to Southern Baptist homeschooling families. SBA is an independent, private Christian K-12 online homeschool program that is registered as a private school by the Texas Department of Education. Texas’s progressive educational laws allow us to deliver a fantastic online homeschooing curriculum throughout the country. SBA is doctrinely based on the Statement of Faith of the Southern Baptist Convention.
This Internet-based Christian homeschooling curriculum uses cutting-edge multimedia technology to provide challenging and compelling lesson plans for any homeschooled student. These programs run easily on 56k dial-up Internet connections as well as high-speed broadband or satellite connections. As always, our curriculum is rooted in the Holy Scriptures. Each day, your homeschooling student will log in to our homeroom. Here, the student can view his assignments, course list, communicate with Academic Counselors, and receive messages from our Principal. Then the child will read, watch, and listen to a variety of educational material from each of his or her courses. Students are then prompted to perform several assignments, such as essays, multiple choice questions, puzzles, and more.
They are encouraged to contact our Academic Counselors for help with assignments each weekday during school hours. In addition to communication with our Academic Counselors, students will interact with their homes schooling peers via our social center. Once the assignments are completed, we'll grade them.
SBA is accredited by the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance. This means that enrolling your homeschooler in our online school program is equivalent to sending them to the private Christian school across town. The Southern Baptist Academy is recognized by colleges and school districts across the country as a private school.
