The Department of Chemical Engineering at JIET, Guna is successfully heading towards its fourth year of B.Tech. program, which strives to give quality education to its students and provide excellent career development prospects to its faculty, research and technical staff. This department is endowed with very distinguished faculty members.
There are two primary objectives of four years B.Tech course in Chemical Engineering at JIET: (a) Preparation of the student for the technical and analytical skills that he will require as a professional engineer. (b) To equip the student with an adequate background of Humanities and Social Sciences that may be necessary to enable them to play an effective role as an engineer for the benefit of the society.
This undergraduate course focuses on 18% “core” program of courses in basic sciences, 12% in other engineering sciences, 11.5% humanities, 48% core engineering sciences, 6% electives and 4.5% project oriented practice. Besides this, the students are facilitated to carry out research and project work in fully functional labs backed by competent faculty.
