Please note: These internships are only available to JCU students. Future students at JCU are welcome to inquire here about these internship programs as part of your international education experience.
An internship is a short-term employment opportunity, often unpaid, that allows the intern to combine classroom learning with hands-on work experience prior to graduation.
Internships can be taken either for academic credit or purely for valuable hands-on experience within your chosen field of interest.
The For-Credit Internship Program:
JCU’s Internship Program provides qualified undergraduates and graduates with quality, experiential work opportunities in their field of study.
In the program, a student:
- Earns up to 3 credit hours/per internship), while gaining practical experience in a work environment
- Works for an organization for a 120 to 150 contact hours during a normal 14-week semester
- Receives a Pass/Not Pass grade, given by a member of the John Cabot Faculty
Not For-Credit Internships:
Through long standing and mutually beneficial agreements, we have placed students in internships with international profit and not-for-profit organizations that specifically seek out students from JCU.
Our students are often the first choice candidates for these distinguished opportunities due to our English language instruction, the international focus of our majors, and our multinational, and in many cases bilingual, student body.
