Role Overview

The Facilities Manager is critical to the smooth operation of our Fulfillment and Manufacturing Centers and will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of the Facility, Automation Equipment, Manufacturing Equipment, Material Handling Assets, Housekeeping and Grounds. The Facilities Manager will report to the Regional Facilities and Maintenance Manager and will work as a strategic partner with the Operations Team to analyze trends and solve opportunities to maximize the site’s success.

The Facilities Manager is critical to the smooth operation of our Fulfillment and Manufacturing Centers and will be responsible to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the Facility, Automation Equipment, Manufacturing Equipment, Material Handling Assets, Housekeeping and Grounds. The Facilities Manager will report to the Regional Facilities and Maintenance Manager and will work as a strategic partner with the Operations Team to analyze trends and solve opportunities to maximize the site’s success.

you bring to the team
  • Facilitation of day‑to‑day function of the Facilities team, including providing daily assignments.
  • Performance evaluations, auditing, training, recommendations for promotions, and supporting Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Performance management, including coaching, corrective action, suspension, and recommendation to Senior Leadership for separation.
  • Hiring, training and development for the sites’ Facilities Technicians.
  • Support for the sites Operations Team and report to the Director of Facilities.
  • Facilitation of day‑to‑day support for the sites Operations Team, including daily attendance and participation at the sites Production meetings.
  • System performance and downtime reporting provided to the Site Leadership.
  • Key member of the Safety Committee.
  • Collaboration with internal and external business partners.
  • Modeling and fostering a positive working culture of inclusion.
  • Adherence to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.
  • Ensuring completion of Work Orders, Repairs, Preventative Maintenance and Records Retention in accordance with company procedures and standards.
  • Making decisions for daily facilities support, equipment availability and safety related needs in partnership with Operations.
  • P&L responsibility for Repairs and Maintenance, Equipment Rentals and Waste Disposals.
  • Capital Project support, including collaboration with Operations on site needs, planning, budgeting and project execution.
  • Coordination and management of vendors and contractors.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert within Facilities and providing recommendations to the Sr. Director of Facilities and Operations Leadership.
  • Diagnosis of Mechanical and Electrical systems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electrical/mechanical schematics), and diagnostic tools.
  • Overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of the sites’ Material Handling Equipment, Building and Grounds, Industrial Trucks and Manufacturing equipment.
  • Overseeing troubleshooting and repair of Motor Control equipment including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Soft Starts, Servo Drives and Input/Output (I/O) devices.
  • Physical and environmental demands: standing and sitting for prolonged periods, talking and listening, walking, using hands, twisting, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
