Lead Maintenance Technician

American Communities is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of our property and lead our maintenance team. This role ensures high‑quality maintenance service, strong curb appeal, and excellent resident satisfaction.

• Supervise daily maintenance operations and assign work orders
• Perform and oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
• Conduct property inspections and ensure preventative maintenance is completed
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
• Maintain supplies, tools, and maintenance inventory
• Support budgeting and cost control efforts
• Train and guide maintenance team members
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues

• 3+ years of maintenance experience (multifamily or property management preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• EPA Certification
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to perform physical maintenance work
• Valid driver’s license preferred
