Role summary:

This role involves inspecting, cleaning, and servicing equipment and fixtures to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with regulations. The technician utilizes multiple craft skills, operates heavy machinery, and documents maintenance activities accurately. Collaborating with senior technicians and management, this position contributes to maintaining operational standards while adhering to company policies and safety guidelines, fostering a reliable and well-maintained facility environment.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, and repair facilities and equipment following established schedules and guidelines.
• Diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs; dismantle equipment to access defective parts.
• Utilize hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Document maintenance and repair activities, including parts usage and work orders, under supervision.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and accurately.
• Comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout all tasks.

• Proven ability to perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs across multiple crafts including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Experience operating and inspecting heavy machinery and powered equipment in compliance with safety and certification requirements.
• Strong skills in diagnosing equipment issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Ability to document maintenance and repair activities accurately using written and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance in all work activities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with management and coworkers.
