Housekeeper Position in Abilene, TX

Now hiring for a Housekeeper in Abilene, TX. Pay rate is $13.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We need a Housekeeper to help clean our building each day. You will empty trash, clean surfaces, restock supplies, and keep areas looking good. This is reliable work with a team that values people who show up and get the job done.

Job Duties:

• Clean and maintain assigned rooms and common areas
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces
• Restock supplies as needed
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness standards
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures
• Complete other general housekeeping duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, custodial, or cleaning training is beneficial

Experience Requirements:

• Ability to clean and maintain guest rooms, offices, common areas, or other assigned spaces
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and safe chemical handling
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow cleaning schedules and quality standards
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple assigned areas efficiently
• Dependable attendance, professionalism, and commitment to cleanliness and safety

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, hotel, healthcare, residential, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred
• Experience using cleaning equipment, laundry systems, housekeeping carts, or sanitation products is beneficial
• Knowledge of room inspection standards, infection control, or environmentally responsible cleaning practices is considered an asset
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, discretion, efficiency, and pride in maintaining clean environments are well positioned for success as a Housekeeper

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull cleaning supplies, linens, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely maneuver housekeeping carts, vacuums, and cleaning equipment
• Ability to work efficiently in guest rooms, common areas, or facility environments while following established safety procedures
