Heavy Porter

Atlas Healthcare at Seashore Gardens is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Porter to join our team. As a Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
• Assist with floor care duties, such as buffing and waxing floors
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as assigned
• Follow established safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department
• Adhere to company policies and procedures

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Assist with minor maintenance issues (e.g., lighting system and changing light bulbs)
• Assist nursing with new admission requests such as air mattresses, beds and televisions
