Summary:
Ensures that all building erections, additions, alterations, repairs, remodeling or demolitions and all installations of building systems meet code requirements including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, building and fuel gas.
Responsibilities:
* Performs on-site inspections of new, existing, commercial, residential and NAHASDA housing facilities to verify compliance with the International Building Code
* Issues notices of violations and corrections needed to maintain compliance with the International Building Codes
* Assures quality materials are installed on all projects
* Enforces licensing laws pertaining to each trade
* Establishes and maintains appropriate files for each job site and inspection
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
- Maintains and promotes professionalism
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
* Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
* Performs all other duties as assigned

* Ability to follow and interpret carpentry instructions and specifications such as blueprints, manuals, sketches and work orders

* Knowledge of computer programs in order to retrieve, update, and keep accurate details concerning construction projects and inspection results

* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management

Experience 5+ years Experience as a contractor, engineer, architect, or a construction superintendent, and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
