By afternoon, you’re on a video call with our US Service Manager discussing a commissioning plan, then jumping into root‑cause analysis to debug a system error.
Tomorrow, you’ll fly to a customer facility to complete an installation on time and to spec. It’s hands‑on, high‑impact work that keeps production moving.

What this role owns- Be the primary point of contact for training, installation, and maintenance in our Chicago showcase and at customer sites across the US.
- Report directly to the US Service Manager; safeguard customer satisfaction while promoting value add‑on services and supporting monthly maintenance programs.
- Execute proper machinery installation and accessory management; accurately interpret and use service data.
- Organize work orders, practice safe tool use, and ensure complete customer data reporting.
- Handle expense reimbursement documentation and customer service evaluations correctly and on time.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and R&D to align with stakeholder goals.
- Commission, install, and maintain equipment on schedule under strict safety and quality guidelines.
- Diagnose maintenance blockers, debug issues, and propose system improvements.
- Lead and participate in company trainings on technical processes, company regulations, and technician responsibilities.
- Conduct routine monthly service visits and introduce related value‑added services.
- Provide one‑to‑one coaching for newly hired service team members.
Business travel within the US is required.
What you bring- 2+ years in a related industry (fiber laser experience strongly preferred).
- Hands‑on expertise installing, debugging, and maintaining 6kW equipment.
- Ability to read and apply circuit diagrams.
- Familiarity with CAD or SOLIDWORKS.
- Solid grasp of mechanical principles.
- Detail‑ and deadline‑oriented; highly organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills across matrixed teams.
- Electrician’s certification.
- Fitter’s certification.
Job level and pay depend on experience. Progression and ranges:
- Service Technician ($30–36 hourly)
- Service Engineer ($36–45 hourly)
- Senior Service Engineer ($45–55 hourly)
