FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 2 – Village of Addison, Building and Grounds Department
Salary Range: $74,591 – $103,252. The Village anticipates hiring at or close to the starting pay of the position’s pay-range.
ResponsibilitiesUnder direct supervision, this person performs a wide variety of manual tasks involving the maintenance and repair of all Village buildings and grounds and facilities, as well as related tools and equipment. Required to work weekends, holidays and overtime in the necessary capacity to complete job requirements. On 24‑hour call for any problems that may occur. Assumes the responsibilities of division operations in the absence of the Building and Grounds Supervisor or Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician.
Work is of routine difficulty and reviewed for progress and conformance to established procedures by the Supervisor of Building and Grounds or his designee.
The maximum pay for this position is within the top 25% of pay for comparable positions in 13 communities around the Village of Addison.
If an employee’s performance is satisfactory, eligible employees will receive an annual, general‑wage‑adjustment of between 2.5% and 3% in 2026, and an annual merit increase of 3% until they reach the maximum step in their grade; that is a 5.5% – 6% increase in pay within a year of hire.
Employees have the option to join a PPO medical plan through Aetna, dental insurance with Delta Dental, and vision insurance with VSP. They also have an option of participating in over six voluntary benefit plans.
Employees who choose to join the Village’s medical insurance plan will pay nothing for insurance coverage for themselves and eligible dependents. Further, participants in the high deductible health plan will have their health savings accounts funded by the Village of Addison at: $2,000 for single coverage; $4,000 for employee + 1 coverage, and $6,000 for family coverage on an annual basis.
Full‑time employees receive two times their annual salary in life insurance at no cost.
Tuition reimbursement is available and approved training paid for by the Village of Addison.
