What You Will DoAs a wastewater collection system operator, you will participate in the operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Collection System and Wastewater Pumping Stations. Tasks include CCTV inspections, line repair and replacement, road flagging, water disconnects, and, in some cases, operating water or wastewater treatment plant equipment. You will perform skilled, journeyman‑level work in monitoring, repairing, and controlling pump station and plant equipment and processes under the supervision of the Lead Operator and Project Manager.
ScheduleFive 8‑hour shifts (6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday‑Friday). After onboarding and training you may be required to work rotating standby/on‑call shifts, including weekends, with a $200 stipend for standby availability and additional compensation for any hours worked while on standby.
What You Will Need To Succeed- Self‑motivated, positive, can‑do attitude
- Valid CDL license is highly desirable
- Experience operating heavy equipment preferred
- 1–3 years of wastewater industry experience preferred
- CWEA Collection System Maintenance certification desirable
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid CA Class C Driver’s License
- Successful candidates will complete a background check, pre‑placement physical, and drug screen before employment
$25–$35 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and licensure.
