Heat Treat Operator
The heat treat process begins after the screws are manufactured in the manufacturing building. The screws are then moved to the heat treat building to be processed. As a Heat Treat Operator, you will be operating a heat treat furnace and using a forklift to load screws into the furnace. This role requires standing on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
Responsibilities
- Operate the heat treat furnace.
- Use a forklift to load screws into the furnace.
- Ensure proper processing of screws through heat treatment.
- Stand and work on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours each day.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical inclination is a must.
- Experience in machine operation is highly recommended.
- Basic knowledge of heat treating processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with racking, construction, and stamping press.
- Mechanical aptitude, including oil change and machine operating.
- Experience in pipes, HVAC, or plumbing is advantageous.

Work Environment
You will work in a state-of-the-art Heat Treat facility, standing on your feet for 12 hours during weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. You'll collaborate alongside other Heat Treat Operators. The facility is expanding with new temperature-controlled racking rooms being built.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
