The line cook positions are located on the night line of Sunwapta. We are hiring for both 1st and 2nd Line Cook roles.

• Set up the dinner line and Mis‑en‑place under the supervision of the Sous Chef / Executive Chef.
• Ensure the line is set up on time before dinner service begins.
• Prepare and serve all dinner menu items, including daily specials, following recipe standards, portion control, and quality control.
• Maintain food‑safe guidelines at all times.
• Promptly serve plated foods and be ready for the Dining Room to open on time.
• Work with the Sous Chef to prepare and plate most of the evening dishes.
• Assist with banquets or set menus as required.
• Manage prep work, typically around 100 covers a night.
• Help the dishwasher wrap up at the end of the evening.
• If the Sous Chef is not in the kitchen, take responsibility and maintain operational flow.
• Plate dishes in a fast and efficient manner, presenting food that reflects well on the kitchen.

• Minimum two years of experience in a similar position (fine‑dining or sit‑down restaurant for 1st line; fast‑food or other experience for 2nd line).
• Comfortable demonstrating leadership on and off shift.
• Interest in learning about training, motivating staff, and fine‑dining service.
• Calm temperament and ability to work efficiently throughout the shift.
• Knowledge of food‑safe practices and quality control.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and lead the kitchen by example.
