Head Chef Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Head Chef specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine to lead our kitchen operations and culinary vision. This role is responsible for menu development, kitchen leadership, food quality, and cost control while maintaining consistency with Hayati's premium brand standards. The ideal candidate combines culinary creativity with strong operational discipline and thrives in a high-expectation, guest-focused environment.
Responsibilities- Culinary Leadership & Menu Development
- Design and execute an elevated Middle Eastern menu, including hot plates, cold mezze, shareable items, and late-night offerings
- Ensure authenticity of flavors while incorporating modern presentation and premium ingredients
- Collaborate with ownership and management on seasonal menus, specials, and new concepts
- Maintain consistent plating, portioning, and taste across all service periods
- Kitchen Operations
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, prep, and service execution
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and organization
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Cost Control & Inventory
- Manage food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships
- Monitor waste, portion control, and ordering to maintain target margins
- Assist with pricing strategies to align food quality with profitability
- Quality Control & Guest Experience
- Ensure dishes are executed efficiently without compromising quality
- Work closely with front-of-house and lounge teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Handle guest feedback professionally and make improvements where needed
- Minimum 3.5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong background in Middle Eastern cuisine (Levantine, Gulf, North African, or Persian influences considered an asset)
- Proven leadership and kitchen management skills
- Solid understanding of food costing, inventory management, and labor control
- Ability to perform under pressure in a high volume, upscale environment
- Passion for hospitality, quality, and consistency
