Position DescriptionUnder the direction of the Service Maintenance Manager, the Janitor is responsible for the overall cleanliness, physical appearance, and presentation of the community, while maintaining a positive, productive relationship with other team members and residents. The Cleaner will provide janitorial duties to maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior site through regular scheduled cleaning activities. This position requires five days a week in office.
Responsibilities- Empty trash cans, clean windows, walls, floors, stairwells, and carpets during scheduled functions.
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior grounds by picking up litter and maintaining trash areas.
- Support maintenance staff in landscaping activities including sweeping sidewalks, raking, planting flowers, and installing mulch.
- Perform cleaning of vacant apartments on turnover.
- Replace smoke co or battery, light bulbs, and support on minor deficiencies.
- Assist in snow removal activities and be available for cleanup during weather events.
Skills And Abilities
- Comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across sites.
- Constantly work in outdoor weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
