Position: Housekeeping & Janitorial Staff
Part-time:
Monday through Friday 6am-10am


Position Summary

Responsible for addressing all facility cleanliness and sanitation of the Summit location including admin offices, common areas and shelter.

Job Description

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
  • At least one year experience with commercial cleaning
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigations).
Role and Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean, stock and empty trash in the Summit shelter to include hallways, common areas, meeting rooms, restrooms, offices, and exited shelter rooms (at Shelter Manager's notification).
  • Evaluate each room/area for any needed repairs or maintenance and report those requests via the maintenance system.
  • Maintain outside area of the

    E. Market Street property to include removing any ground litter and emptying exterior trash cans around the building including parking lots, kids play area, garden, sidewalks, and lawn.
  • Assist Facilities Manager with maintaining adequate inventory of janitorial supplies and communicating order needs in a timely manner.
  • Complete any needed documentation in a timely manner in accordance with the policies and procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Work cooperatively with other staff members and volunteers to ensure best practices in service delivery.
  • Adhere to Service Excellence standards at all times.
  • Represent Hope and Healing by participating in community activities, coalitions and taskforce groups as requested or assigned by supervisor.
  • Complies with agency policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    This position will be in a facility with victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. In addition to interaction with the survivors, the employee may have interactions with families of these individuals, the assailants and law enforcement.
