Maintenance Worker - Oriana ; Facilities

Overview

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a skilled Maintenance Worker to support building operations and facility maintenance services at Oriana House locations throughout the Akron area. This is a hands-on maintenance position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting problems, working with tools, fixing equipment, and helping keep facilities safe, clean, and operational. You will perform a wide variety of general maintenance and repair work inside commercial and community-based facilities, including carpentry, light plumbing, painting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and general building upkeep.

We are looking for dependable maintenance professionals who take pride in their work, communicate well with others, and can operate independently throughout the day. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in apartment maintenance, commercial facilities maintenance, property maintenance, school maintenance, hospital maintenance, industrial maintenance, or general building trades.

• Perform routine building maintenance and repair work
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment and systems
• Repair doors, locks, walls, flooring, ceiling tiles, fixtures, and office equipment
• Perform light plumbing repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting
• Complete painting, patching, carpentry, and general repair work
• Respond to maintenance requests and service calls
• Identify safety concerns and report larger repair needs
• Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance inventory
• Support facility appearance, cleanliness, and operational readiness
• Follow OSHA guidelines and Aramark safety procedures

• Commercial and community-based facilities
• Indoor maintenance work with occasional outdoor responsibilities
• Active, hands-on role requiring movement throughout the day

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or skilled trades preferred
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, or mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment and materials
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location responsibilities

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
