Maintenance Assistant

CHC is a nonprofit social service agency serving the Akron area, dedicated to treating, inspiring, supporting, and empowering individuals and families impacted by addiction.

We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Maintenance Assistant who takes pride in keeping our facilities safe, clean, and welcoming. From preparing apartments for new residents to maintaining our buildings and grounds, you'll play an important role in creating spaces where people can heal and thrive.

• Keep parking lots and outdoor areas clean by removing snow, leaves, trash, and debris.
• Complete general building maintenance, including changing light bulbs, cleaning windows, minor furniture repairs, and moving office furniture or equipment.
• Pressure wash buildings and sidewalks.
• Prepare housing units for new residents by painting, cleaning, and making them move-in ready.
• Assist with landscaping and seasonal property maintenance.
• Help maintain inventory and restock facility supplies.
• Respond to maintenance requests and assist with special projects as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and enjoys solving problems
• Ability to work independently while also being a great teammate

• Monday–Friday | 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• Occasional evenings or weekends for projects or emergencies
• Starting pay: $17.00/hour
