Hourly Rate: $35.00-$45.00
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and mobile Field Service Technician to support and oversee all service operations across the Western region. This role will be primarily dedicated to service needs and requires strong technical capability, excellent customer presence, and the flexibility to travel extensively throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and New Mexico.
This position is ideally based in the Central Valley area to support efficient regional coverage. The successful candidate will initially be hired as a casual/per diem technician with the opportunity to transition to full-time based on performance and mutual fit.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary on-site service technician dedicated to providing exceptional technical support and customer service.
Perform installation, preventative maintenance, and corrective repair on medical equipment, with a focus on Ultrasound systems
.
Provide support and service for equipment that may require anesthesia and ventilator training (candidates with one or both preferred).
Travel frequently throughout the defined territory — including Northern and Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and New Mexico — to support customer sites as needed.
Serve as a regional point of contact for service escalation, warranty coordination, and communication between the customer and internal operations.
Maintain accurate service documentation, parts inventory tracking, and service reports in company systems.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, OEM specifications, and customer policies while performing all technical tasks.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships.
Preferred QualificationsTechnical Expertise:
Strong background in Ultrasound equipment service/support
Additional training or experience with anesthesia systems and ventilators is highly desirable
Experience:
Prior experience in field service or biomedical equipment service
Territory travel experience and effective remote problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote service environment
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
Work Schedule & CompensationEmployment Status: Casual/Per Diem initially, with the possibility of conversion to Full-Time based on performance and candidate preference.
Travel: Overnight travel expected; company travel policy and reimbursement provided.
