Family Health Centers at NYU Langone is a Level 3 Medical Home and the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, second largest in the nation. The network includes eight primary care sites, 40 school‑based health centers, dental clinics, four day‑care centers, the nation’s largest dental residency program, and New York State’s largest behavioral health program. It also provides comprehensive HIV services, chemical dependency programs, and community medicine services to underserved populations.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part‑Time Custodian (Warren Street). Under the supervision of the Education Director of the Center, the custodian will maintain cleanliness and safety in accordance with Sunset Bay Community Services, NAEYC, DOH, DOE, and ACS policies and procedures.

• Ensure all sidewalks, front and back, and playgrounds are clean daily.
• Organize household supply closets and outdoor sheds as needed.
• Complete the maintenance logbook daily.
• Order household supplies as needed.
• Keep the center clean and well‑kept at all times.
• Replace faulty lighting with new fixtures as required.
• Clean all water toys with bleach solution and refill water tables for classrooms.
• Refill paper towels, tissue paper, and toilet paper for classrooms and bathrooms.
• Vacuum all carpets in offices and classrooms daily and wash them when needed.
• Sweep and mop all classrooms, offices, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchen daily.
• Refill soap for all dispensers in classrooms and bathrooms.
• Replace garbage bags for all canisters in offices, classrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and playgrounds daily.
• Empty all garbage in offices, classrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and outside receptacles daily.
• Disinfect adult and child toilets and clean mirrors and sinks in bathrooms daily.
• Clean windows and doors weekly.
• Wipe office desks, classroom surfaces, and countertops with bleach solution daily.
• Empty diaper pails as needed.
• Water all plants as needed.

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.

• High School Diploma.
• Job‑related training.
• Two years of experience in childcare settings.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range of $17.50–$19.78 hourly in compliance with New York State law on salary transparency. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and other factors.
