Building/Groundskeeper Maint - 3rd Shift - Tecumseh, NE
Pay Range: $20.10 - $23.50 per hour (depending on level of experience).
Hours: 10:00 pm–6:30 am; occasional off‑shift work including weekends and seasonal duties.
Start Date: Immediately.
Department: Maintenance.
Associate will be responsible for general building and equipment maintenance tasks, including water operation, snow removal during winter, repair and maintenance of forklifts, motorized pallet jacks, company vehicles, and other equipment. Duties also include plumbing repairs, facility lighting, painting, cleaning, and moving office equipment. The associate will handle trash removal, and maintain cleanliness and organization of truck sheds, loafing sheds, maintenance shop, and bone yard.
Off‑shift work may involve weekend tasks and seasonal assignments directed by the Maintenance Manager.
- Verifiable knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Mechanical ability with general vehicle maintenance knowledge, including preventive and scheduled maintenance.
- Plumbing skills and general knowledge of electrical and lighting.
- License and experience to operate a forklift, bobcat, shovel truck, and all company vehicles.
- Clean driving history.
- Physical ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for the majority of the shift, working in all environmental conditions inside and outside the facility.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, good written skills, basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and teamwork skills.
- External Requirement: 6‑month work history or participation in an industrial maintenance educational program. Maintenance experience preferred.
- Rehire Consideration: Max of two previous Tyson employments considered for hire; 90‑day waiting period.
- Work Shift: 3rd Shift (United States).
