Custodian - Giants Ridge

Compensation Amount: 18.00 USD Hourly

The Custodian maintains clean, orderly and attractive public areas within the unit and responds to guests’ requests in an efficient and pleasant manner.

• Ensures assigned areas are clean and neat as directed by management.
• Delivers supplies to assigned areas of the facility.
• Vacuum areas, mop and clean floors; shampoo carpets as directed.
• Cleans hall railings, marks on walls, stairwells and lockers.
• Pulls trash and recyclables from receptacles; replaces trash bags; clears waste from tables, floors and grounds.
• Cleans bathrooms and maintains supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap dispensers and toilet seat covers.
• Cleans glass surfaces and windows.
• Ensures proper care and maintenance of equipment and promotes continuous improvement of safety and environmental practices.
• Remains alert to safety issues and reports them to management.
• Notifies management of needed repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Partial High School education;
  High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Strong sanitation habits and ability to learn and follow safety precautions.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively seeks ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Recognizes problems and communicates them to management.

• Move about on foot, bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently.
• Lifting, carrying and pushing up to 35 lbs regularly, up to 45 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Stand or walk for the entire work day and climb steps.
• Withstand temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Work in wet, slippery, hot and damp conditions; frequently immerse hands in water.
• Read and write work‑related documents in English; understand and speak clearly in English.
• Constantly communicate in a fast‑paced environment.
• Travel between resort locations; valid driver’s licence required.
• Physical presence at the job site is essential.
