Position Summary
Mistras Alaska is seeking Non‑Destructive Testing Trainees. Candidates must have completed at least a 40‑hour radiation safety course. The NDT Trainee will assist NDT LevelII and III personnel. Work schedules are project based, with daily shifts up to 12hours or more as needed, primarily in Anchorage, Alaska.
Minimum Requirements- Completed 40‑hour radiation safety course.
- NDT training and on‑the‑job training in methods such as UT, RT, PT, MT, VT per ASNT SNT‑TC‑1A is preferred but not required.
- Current IRRSP or state card is preferred but not required.
- Current LevelI or higher Rope Access certification (IRATA) or willingness to obtain.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate working in extreme climates (subzero temperatures) for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces.
