Salary Range: $40,310.00 - $52,403.00
- Maintain and care for main campus and assigned off‑site grounds, parking garages, parking garage stairwells, parking lots, driveways, walkways, and surrounding areas.
- Perform routine tasks such as removal and disposal of trash and debris, regular replacement of trash receptacle liners, trimming back dead and low‑hanging limbs, and mowing and weed trimming.
- Replace and/or repair signage; execute annual parking garage wash‑downs.
- Operate power equipment and hand tools safely and effectively, including lawn mowers, snow blowers, weed trimmers, chainsaws, skid steers, loaders, and vehicles.
- Conduct snow removal and ice‑management operations, adjusting shift to nights, overnights, and weekends as required.
- Report discrepancies (walkways, pavement, signage, safety) to the Site Service Foreman for corrective repair.
- Assist with or perform minor repairs of Site Service equipment.
- Support other departments in completing tasks, projects, and moving or disposing of furniture and office equipment.
- Respond to spills of hazardous materials or OPIM on campus grounds, providing proper cleanup and disposal.
- Assist in extinguishing small mulch fires and in loading/unloading large delivery items such as filters and mechanical units.
- Remove and properly dispose of confidential paperwork (HIPAA) from assigned off‑site locations.
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner, adhering to Albany Med and department policies, procedures and regulations.
