Wingate Management Company is seeking a skilled anddependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Albany, NY. This role isideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in solving problems,providing excellent resident service, and maintaining a community to the highest standards.

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

On-Call Rotation Every 3rd Week

• Basic familiarity with computers. Navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
• Read, and write in English in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively with clients, visitors and other organization staff; and respond to basic questions
• Understand spoken English in order to follow basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively in Basic English with clients, visitors and organization staff in response to routine questions
• Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in routine situations. Specialized knowledge not required.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances and HVAC
• Excellent customer service skills
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Decision Making:
  Decisions are based on specific instructions, standard practices and established procedures which generally require little or no supervision
• Problem Solving:
  Problems are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures and by identifying opportunities for process improvements
• Independence of Duties:
  Work is monitored by supervisor/manager. General instructions and procedures are provided.
• Flexibility/Adaptability:
  Work is fairly routine from day to day. Employee follows a set pattern with any changes being communicated by supervisor.
• Available to respond to weather, environmental or emergency maintenance calls after normal working hours
• Ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation is required
• Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all residents, families, visitors, vendors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-3 years relevant work experience
• Computer proficiency is a plus

• CAMT Certification preferred

• Interior and exterior work in all weather conditions as needed
• Constant need to be on feet and perform the following physical activities:
