Maintenance Manager

Albany, NY | $100,000–$120,000 base salary | 10% target bonus
Onsite in the Albany Capital Region | Monday–Friday, first shift, with on-call and off-hours flexibility

A food manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead its maintenance team, reduce unplanned downtime, and build a more proactive maintenance operation.

This role offers the opportunity to put better systems in place, strengthen preventive maintenance, and help the plant run more safely and consistently.

It is a strong fit for a practical leader who enjoys developing people, solving recurring equipment problems, and turning improvement plans into daily habits.

• Lead maintenance personnel through clear priorities, coaching, scheduling, and performance expectations.
• Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Improve work-order planning, maintenance-system use, spare-parts readiness, and repair scheduling.
• Partner with production and engineering on equipment improvements and smaller capital projects.
• Manage maintenance spending while protecting safety, food quality, and equipment performance.

• 5+ years of relevant maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related experience, with demonstrated technical-team leadership.
• Experience improving preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and maintenance work processes.
• Working knowledge of maintenance systems, spare-parts/MRO practices, equipment troubleshooting, and safe work procedures.
• An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work onsite, with flexibility for on-call coverage, off-hours issues, and weekend needs.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

• Food or beverage manufacturing experience.
• At least one year in a manager-level role.
• Relevant electrical, refrigeration, boiler, welding, or other maintenance credentials.

• Own improvements that directly affect daily plant performance.
• Develop a technical team and help establish stronger maintenance practices.
• Work closely with plant leadership on operating priorities and equipment investments.
