Under general supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Worker provides light building and facilities support for Tresco’s Children Services operations in Albuquerque. This role helps maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment by performing routine custodial duties, minor repairs, and general facility upkeep—all while following Tresco policies and applicable regulations.
What You’ll Do- Facility & Custodial Support
- Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, common areas, and entryways
- Empty trash and recycling and dispose of waste properly
- Spot clean floors, carpets, windows, and surfaces
- Replace light bulbs and perform minor upkeep tasks
- Maintain custodial closets and ensure supplies are stocked
- Assist with room setup or reconfiguration for Children Services activities
- Grounds & Exterior Maintenance
- Edge sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and hard-surfaced areas
- Trim vegetation and landscaped areas using hand tools
- Remove litter and natural debris from exterior areas
- Apply weed control using approved methods
- Salt walkways and entry areas during inclement weather
- Regularly inspect and report exterior safety or maintenance concerns
- Team & Organization Support
- Complete special assignments as assigned by your supervisor
- Follow safety, sanitation, and health standards at all times
- Represent Tresco professionally and positively
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 1–2 years in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or similar role preferred
- License: Valid Driver’s License (driving required)
- This position requires successful completion of:
- NM Department of Health Fingerprinting
- Office of Inspector General / CMMS Exclusions Check
- Driving Record (MVR)
- Ability to perform light maintenance tasks safely and independently
- Strong attention to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
