This is an entry level position are looking for people who will fit into our culture and are hungry to learn new skills. The expectation is to learn all basic moving skills within the first 90 days of employment. Mastering the basic skills of the moving industry is critical to your long term success with IMS.
Position SummaryAs a Mover you will report on a daily basis according to the dispatch text message. You will arrive on time to prep your vehicle and gain necessary information for the day’s task. You will then depart to your destination where you will be required to move objects varying in size and weight. These items may be moved to a different location on site, loaded on our truck’s to be moved to a different location, or be thrown out in appropriate dumpsters.
You may be required to work at multiple locations during your work day. You may also be tasked with helping in building and installing various furniture.
While on the job site you will follow the orders of the lead that is assigned to that job. Upon finishing the assigned job you will return to the warehouse where you will unload and clean out your truck. You will put away all equipment that was used for the day ensuring you are leaving a clean work environment for the following day.
Once your days work is complete you will check in with the operations manager to ensure there is no other work to be done that day and then you will clock out.
Variable. For example some weeks you may work 40hrs others you may only work 20 hrs. Hours are not guaranteed. On average employees get 35 hours a week. You can get more hours by making yourself available to work.

- Driving to and from locations: 10%
- Cleaning trucks and facility: 5%

Driver’s license and clean driving record; must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Thorough understanding of tools, how to use them, and an aptitude for building.
Outside 50% of the time, often no air conditioning, on your feet all day, physical labor, must be able to lift 75 lbs on your own, working at construction sites, walking long distances every day, pushing heavy items long distances, hot and cold environments; conditions are subject to change depending on the job site.
