Street Sweeper Operator / Porter

This role involves operating a street and parking lot sweeper and performing exterior cleaning and porter duties at multiple properties throughout Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. You will help keep walkways, sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaped areas clean, safe, and presentable by operating equipment, collecting debris, and performing general exterior cleaning tasks during daytime shifts.

• Operate and drive a street and parking lot sweeper safely and efficiently at assigned properties.
• Visit multiple work sites throughout Albuquerque and surrounding areas according to the daily route.
• Sweep walkways, sidewalks, parking lots, and other designated exterior areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure waste is properly collected and disposed of.
• Operate a leaf blower and other power tools to remove debris and maintain clean surfaces.
• Collect and remove litter, debris, and trash from parking lots, sidewalks, and landscaped areas.
• Perform other exterior cleaning and porter tasks as assigned, including general janitorial and custodial duties.
• Follow all basic safety precautions, rules, and regulations while operating equipment and performing work.
• Work independently to complete assigned routes and tasks on time and to quality standards.
• Communicate any issues, hazards, or maintenance needs observed at properties.

• Ability to operate and drive a street sweeper and related cleaning equipment safely.
• Experience performing general labor, cleaning, janitorial, or industrial cleaning duties.
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely, including leaf blowers and similar equipment.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clean driving record that meets insurance requirements.
• Understanding of and adherence to basic safety precautions, rules, and regulations.
• Proven dependability and strong attendance record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfort working in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.

• Background in custodial, housekeeping, construction, or similar hands-on work environments.
• Previous experience in janitorial, porter, or industrial cleaner roles.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and individually as needed.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining clean and orderly exterior spaces.
• Good time management skills to complete multiple property assignments within scheduled hours.

This is an outdoor role with a schedule generally running Tuesday through Sunday between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, for approximately 35–40 hours per week, depending on property requirements. You will travel to and work at multiple sites throughout Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. The work involves operating a street sweeper, leaf blower, and other power and hand tools, as well as performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.

You will work in various weather conditions and should dress appropriately for the environment, including wearing boots or rain boots and weather-appropriate clothing, especially when power washing. The role includes working both independently and with a team as needed in an active, hands-on setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Albuquerque, NM.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in Albuquerque, NM.
