Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance operations for the hotel

Supervise, train, coach, and develop maintenance team members

Oversee preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems

Ensure proper operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and life safety systems

Manage departmental budgets, purchasing, and inventory of supplies and equipment

Coordinate repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects

Respond to maintenance emergencies and operational issues as needed

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers

Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance concerns

Collaborate with hotel leadership to support overall property performance and guest satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role Experience managing maintenance operations within a hotel or hospitality environment preferred

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems

Experience with preventive maintenance programs and capital projects

Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements

Trade certifications or technical training preferred

Physical Requirements and Essential Job Functions This position requires both administrative and hands-on maintenance responsibilities. Candidates must be able to:

Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the property

Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds

Bend, reach, climb ladders, crawl, kneel, and work in confined spaces as needed

Operate maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery safely

Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions

Respond to emergency situations that may require after-hours availability

Maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced hospitality environment
