Position OverviewThe client is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support its Hotline/Operations Group in Alcoa, TN. The role serves as a key liaison between production, engineering, and maintenance, ensuring maintenance work is properly planned, scheduled, documented, and supplied with the necessary materials and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work.
- Create and manage work orders using Oracle eAM.
- Review and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
- Identify, order, stage, and document parts, materials, tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
- Maintain weekday, weekend, and planned outage schedules.
- Review completed work and schedule follow-up maintenance.
- Maintain maintenance records, calibration records, surveys, and other documentation.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve maintenance processes.
- Coordinate with EHS to ensure safety and environmental requirements are addressed before work is scheduled.
- Enter production and maintenance data to support continuous improvement.
- Order and maintain supplies for production and maintenance.
- Assist with the overtime system.
- Backfill the Maintenance Supervisor when needed during vacations, weekends, and outages.
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Maintenance Planner who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Maintenance Planner would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
Required Qualifications- High school diploma/GED.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- 3–5 years of maintenance planning and scheduling experience.
- Mechanical or electrical background.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance planning experience.
- Strong Oracle eAM/CMMS experience.
- Maintenance, machinist, or fabrication background.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/fabrication blueprints.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience with maintenance software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Conflict-resolution and cross-functional coordination skills.
