Job Summary:Applied Digital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Datacenter Critical Facility Manager to oversee the reliability, performance, and operational excellence of critical infrastructure within our Data Centers. This role is responsible for leading maintenance activities, supervising vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems operate efficiently and without interruption.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical expertise in critical infrastructure systems, and a proactive approach to maintaining uptime and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the maintenance and operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and life safety systems within the Data Center
- Perform routine and ad hoc site inspections to ensure optimal performance and compliance
- Monitor, respond to, and elevate Data Center alarms and system alerts
- Lead and coordinate third-party vendors performing maintenance and repair activities
- Review and approve Methods of Procedure (MOPs), scripts, and maintenance plans
- Supervise all critical maintenance activities to ensure adherence to standards and safety protocols
- Manage Capital Expenditures (Cap Ex) and operational budgets for the facility
- Recommend and implement efficiency improvements and infrastructure upgrades
- Support incident response and emergency operations
, including after-hours and weekend work as needed
- 3–5 years of experience managing Data Center critical infrastructure
, or 5+ years managing critical facilities infrastructure - Strong knowledge of medium voltage electrical systems and associated safety procedures
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Prior experience leading teams in a Data Center or critical environment
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA systems
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
