CW is seeking a dedicated janitorial Site Safety Officer to support safe operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a strong safety culture across our facility.
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas, equipment, storage rooms, and chemical stations to identify hazards and ensure safe operations.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Monitor proper use of PPE, cleaning chemicals, and janitorial equipment, and assist with safe setup, storage, and operation.
- Maintain safety logs, incident reports, inspection records, and follow-up documentation for concerns, near-misses, and incidents.
- Train staff on safety procedures, chemical handling, equipment use, and emergency protocols; lead toolbox talks, refresher trainings, and safety briefings.
- Communicate safety updates, policy changes, corrective actions, and serve as the on-site contact for safety questions or issues.
- Work alongside janitorial staff to observe workflows, identify hazards, and support safe daily operations.
- Support response efforts for spills, biohazards, equipment issues, and other safety-related events.
- Collaborate with site leadership to enhance safety processes and reduce risk across the facility.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities, or environmental services.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety practices or compliance, such as conducting inspections, supporting safety programs, or assisting with OSHA-related requirements.
- OSHA 30-hour certification in Construction or General Industry Safety.
- Familiarity with incident reporting, documentation, or workplace safety protocols, even if in a supporting capacity.
- Valid Real .
- Valid Driver License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.

- Strong communication skills for delivering safety guidance and interacting with staff at all levels
- Strong attention to detail when observing work practices and identifying potential hazards

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively to urgent situations.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a customer-service-oriented approach.

- Lifting & Carrying: Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 25-30 pounds, with occasional heavier handling supported by team members or equipment.
