Janitorial Site Safety Officer

CW is seeking a dedicated janitorial Site Safety Officer to support safe operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a strong safety culture across our facility.

  • Conduct routine inspections of work areas, equipment, storage rooms, and chemical stations to identify hazards and ensure safe operations.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Monitor proper use of PPE, cleaning chemicals, and janitorial equipment, and assist with safe setup, storage, and operation.
  • Maintain safety logs, incident reports, inspection records, and follow-up documentation for concerns, near-misses, and incidents.
  • Train staff on safety procedures, chemical handling, equipment use, and emergency protocols; lead toolbox talks, refresher trainings, and safety briefings.
  • Communicate safety updates, policy changes, corrective actions, and serve as the on-site contact for safety questions or issues.
  • Work alongside janitorial staff to observe workflows, identify hazards, and support safe daily operations.
  • Support response efforts for spills, biohazards, equipment issues, and other safety-related events.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to enhance safety processes and reduce risk across the facility.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities, or environmental services.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety practices or compliance, such as conducting inspections, supporting safety programs, or assisting with OSHA-related requirements.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification in Construction or General Industry Safety.
  • Familiarity with incident reporting, documentation, or workplace safety protocols, even if in a supporting capacity.
  • Valid Real .
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.
