General Summary
Responsible for providing maintenance and groundskeeping services as needed and/or assigned; assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensuring that tools, materials and vehicles are maintained in good working order and are available at job sites when needed. Responsible for the proper care and disposition of agency property and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities- Two years of prior experience in facility maintenance.
- Understanding the six core competencies of risk management and the skills and ability to apply them in the non‑profit environment.
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Must pass background check
- The candidate must have strong organizational skills
- Analytical ability to detect and resolve errors.
If a preliminary offer of employment is extended, a physical will be required before the offer can be accepted. Light to medium duties include standing, walking, reaching, bending, talking for up to 8 hours a day. Requires ability to lift large and heavy equipment, parts, supplies, and boxes throughout shift. Must have ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance and to push and pull up to 150 pounds with appropriate equipment.
Requires significant demands on these physical requirements throughout the entire work shift and requires tasks to be performed in all types of weather conditions.
