Job Description
Shasta Services, LLC, a TMS company, is a large and growing provider of metal grinding and machining services, primarily in the titanium industry, located in Aliquippa, PA. These full‑time positions will be members of a strong and experienced team that operates a fleet of Mid West‑style grinders, bar peelers, centerless grinders, industrial band saws, lathes, bar straighteners and bar polishers.
We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Manager. This position is responsible for the day‑to‑day coordination of the maintenance mechanics in conjunction with operations to provide the customer with safe and reliable equipment to meet their needs. The role is essential for off‑highway equipment in a steel mill application. The company is a world leader with a proven track record of satisfied customer steel mills across the globe.

This position will be located at our Shasta site in Aliquippa, PA. We are looking for a career‑minded individual who seeks a challenging position with room for creativity and growth. The candidate should be able to lead others, delegate work and responsibilities, work side by side with other team members, develop leadership skills in others and have a positive attitude. A qualified candidate will have excellent mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills and be able to teach hourly employees these skills as well.
Responsibilities- Manage and lead a team of mechanics to ensure effective and efficient maintenance of all equipment and machinery at the site.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Work with operations to schedule maintenance repairs necessary to provide safe, reliable equipment to meet and exceed customer needs.
- Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities.
- Manage the maintenance operational and CAPEX budgets, including forecasting and cost control measures.
- Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program to prolong equipment life and reduce repair costs.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring it meets operational requirements and safety standards.
- Mentor and develop maintenance staff through training and performance management initiatives.
- Technical degree in Diesel, Electrical, Hydraulic, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in mobile equipment maintenance management within a heavy industrial environment, preferably in steel manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with maintenance planning software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be able to successfully complete pre‑employment screenings.
