Automotive Garage Technician

We are seeking an experienced Wind Tunnel Technician for a full‑time position located in Allen Park, MI. The role is an afternoon shift - Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Initial training will occur on the job during the day, followed by a transition to the afternoon shift after a couple of months. A shift premium is paid for afternoon shifts.

• Prep and de‑prep vehicles, including wind tunnel instrumentation install and removal.
• Operate wind tunnels and chassis dynos.
• Interface with and support customers in the garage, soak rooms, and test cells.
• Respond to all radio calls as a first responder.
• Receive and release vehicles in the database; maintain status across multiple databases.
• Install and remove camouflage from test vehicles.
• Wash vehicles as necessary.
• Support cold chamber defrost/defog testing.
• Provide driver support for test cells and soak rooms.
• Assist other technicians as needed.
• Clean and organize all garage areas.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work afternoons (3:00pm to 11:30pm).
• General knowledge of automotive parts and functionality.
• Basic understanding of electrical test methodologies.
• Computer and interfacing skills.
• General technical aptitude.
• Good customer service skills and attitude.
• Strong communication skills.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience as an automotive mechanic or wind tunnel/dyno operator.
