Primary
Purpose:
To support the Facilities & Maintenance Departments in maintaining and repairing District equipment and systems in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
None.
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
* Literacy in the English language.
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and lawn equipment
* Ability to work safely at heights above 8 ft using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the manager might find appropriate.

Major
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assists Electricians, Plumbers, General Maintenance, HVAC and Facilities technicians perform preventive maintenance, upkeep and repairs to district facilities, grounds and building systems.
2. Perform Cleanup in District electrical, mechanical, and plumbing rooms and areas
3. Keeps the trade shop areas clean and neat.
4. Police work areas upon completion of duties to remove trash and debris from the work area.
5. Responsible for care and maintenance of district equipment.

Occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
Motion:
Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching; heaving lifting and carrying
Physical Demands:
Continual standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing (ladder), lifting (up to 70 lbs.), and carrying. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Environment:
Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; exposure to dampness and humidity and slippery or uneven walking surfaces.
Mental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress.
Salary:
Summer Temp Work $15/hour.
Student Worker $12.50/hour Days:
