- Location: Alpena Cement Plant, MI
We are hiring for one of our prime clients seeking a Housekeeping/Janitorial Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment across operational areas of the plant. This role supports plant safety, efficiency, and facility standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine cleaning of plant facilities including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and pressure washing
- Remove industrial dust, dirt, and debris from floors, work surfaces, and high-traffic areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break areas, trash, and recycling receptacles
- Maintain safe and organized janitorial supply storage, notifying supervisor when restocking is needed
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers
- Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions
- Follow all plant safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with other facilities-related duties as assigned
- Promote a culture of safety by adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Prior industrial or facilities cleaning experience preferred
- Additional Requirements:
- Work in industrial settings including dusty, noisy, and high-temperature environments
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 45 lbs
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
- Full-time availability; shift schedule may vary; occasional overtime
- Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved PPE, including respirators as required
