Position: Maintenance Technician for a Senior Living Community

As a Maintenance Technician s Hometown Living of Johns Creek, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our senior living community. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a unique blend of technical skill and warmth. They are patient, understanding, and genuinely enjoy interacting with seniors, particularly those with cognitive challenges. A calm and reassuring demeanor is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing situations and resident needs.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, capable of working independently while also being a collaborative team player. You will desire to create a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact. Patience and kindness are as vital as technical expertise in this specialized setting.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the community
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies

Requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical college experience a plus
- Compassionate and patient demeanor for working with residents who have dementia
