Service Repair Technician- Rail Traction Components

Position Overview

Siemens Mobility Rail Traction Components is seeking a qualified Service Repair Technician / Engineer for its Alpharetta, GA facility. In this factory-based role, you will evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and test rail motors and gears in both factory and field environments while ensuring high-quality results.

• Inspect incoming units, document findings, and prepare detailed failure reports with photos as needed.
• Safely operate lifting devices, cranes, jigs, and assembly stands while supporting a Zero Harm safety culture.
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, and bills of materials to determine repair requirements.
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, assemble, and test rail motors and gears to meet quality specifications and tolerances.
• Complete accurate documentation and reporting while working in factory, field, and high-voltage test environments with some travel.

• Meet education requirements through an associate degree, vocational certification, apprenticeship certification, or two years of related work experience.
• Identify complex problems, review related information, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical work.
• Possess the skills, attributes, behaviors, and experience to serve as a collaborative technical trainer on various products.
• Use computers and software applications while applying basic lean principles to optimize processes and eliminate waste.

• Ability to lift 35 lbs.
