Staff Accountant – General Ledger
Location:
Hybrid in Alsip, IL – 2 to 3 days per week in office. Salary range: $60,000 – $78,000 per year.

Griffith Foods is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting Team. The role involves domestic and international accounting activities, including account reconciliations, royalty calculations, foreign currency translation, journal entries, reporting analytics, invoice processing, and foreign unit chargebacks.
Responsibilities- Daily cash accounting and reconciliation
- Coding invoices for submission and payment
- Prepare journal entries for month‑end close for five corporate companies
- Prepare account reconciliations for five corporate companies
- Prepare foreign chargeback invoicing
- Review and record global foreign charges, follow up with units as needed
- Review travel and expense/open AMEX charges
- Prepare A/R and A/P aging reports for corporate entities
- Process and send statements to foreign entities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, retail, or service space
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel formula capabilities, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- Understanding of internal controls, audit support, documentation standards, and adherence to policies
- Experience with ERP systems and data accuracy validation
- Ability to multitask, meet tight timelines, and prioritize workload
- Current location within commutable distance to Alsip, IL
- Willingness and ability to work 2–3 days per week in the Alsip, IL office
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and BPC software
