Senior Reliability Engineer
Location:
Onsite in Alsip, IL
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 per year plus bonus
Griffith Foods is hiring a Senior Reliability Engineer responsible for developing long‑term asset reliability, implementing mechanical integrity programs, and ensuring site compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The role focuses on providing leadership, mentorship, and work direction to a multi‑disciplinary group, managing contractors, evaluating equipment reliability, and supporting procurement for Maintenance.
Responsibilities- Generate and report reliability KPIs
- Drive the critical contractor Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program, primary handler of procurement and hosting for these contractors
- Serve as primary technical resource for maintenance and reliability
- Develop preventive/predictive reliability program such as lubrication, vibration and infrared thermography
- Responsible for PM refinement, effectiveness, asset uptime, identify and resolve equipment concerns
- Develop and execute small capital projects for reliability improvement
- Manage resolution planning for long‑term reliability concerns
- Assess equipment performance data and ensure optimal and efficient performance of plant assets
- Assist in corrective‑maintenance, preventive‑maintenance and/or project cost estimation
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for assets experiencing downtime
- Drive resolution of highest impact issues with a sense of urgency and integrity
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field, or 10+ years’ experience in Maintenance/Reliability Management
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%
- Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

- Enjoy collaboration and provide feedback to Facilities Engineering regarding engineering design standards for machinery and drive improvements with equipment designs
- Like automation and are a system thinker
- Have a desire to build reliable, scalable and resilient systems
- CMRP certification
