Overview

The CNC Maintenance Mechanic is a team member who is efficiently planning, installing, and repairing CNC and manual machines. We are seeking a reliable professional with a strong mechanical aptitude who adheres to safety procedures and ethical standards. A successful candidate will be proficient in blueprint reading and will collaborate to uphold our mission, vision, and values.

Position Details

Title: CNC Maintenance Mechanic III
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm (Weekends as Needed)
Location: Alsip, IL
Pay: Starting pay will be $35.00 per hour. This is a full-time hourly position.
Sign On Bonus: $2000

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and adhere to company safety procedures to ensure the well-being of oneself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property.
  • Promote a culture of safety, report unsafe practices, and actively contribute to a secure working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace, in line with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Prepare and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
  • Lead equipment installation, removal, or relocation.
  • Interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, troubleshoot, and determine repair needs.
  • Implement Lock Out/Tag Out procedures when servicing machines.
  • Demonstrate excellence in performing all other assigned duties.
Requirements
  • At least 3 (three) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machines.
  • At least 3 (three) or more years of maintenance experience, with proven knowledge in CNC and manual machine equipment.
  • At least 2 (two) or more years of experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, as well as heating, cooling, and general building systems.
  • At least 2 (two) or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • At least 2 (two) or more years of experience utilizing measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, meters, calipers, and other measuring tools.

    Skills:

    Strong understanding and hands-on experience with precision tools, machinery, and industrial processes, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and reading English.
  • Strong competency in critical thinking and effective problem-solving within technical or fast-paced environments.
  • Onsite industrial manufacturing position, with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Capability to kneel, bend, climb a ladder, and work in restricted spaces; walk and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work in high elevations, such as on a scissor lift.
Preferences
  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Preferred
Travel & Work Arrangements
  • This position will be fully onsite at our Alsip, IL location.
Union Relationship

We proudly partner with District No. 8 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers with a closed shop, which means that all hourly employees are union members.

  • New employees are regarded as probationary for the first 60 working days of their employment.
  • After probation, the employee will join the union with an initiation fee and monthly dues.
