About the Role

We are seeking a Lead, Bakery-Production to join our team at our Alsip, IL bakery. As a Lead, Bakery-Production, you will be accountable for coordinating daily production activities, ensuring dough and product quality, supporting line performance, and maintaining adherence to GMP and safety standards. You will also guide team members to maintain efficiency and product consistency across the production line.

    2PM - 10:30PM

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $22-$24 per hour

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

  • Coordinate and organize daily production tasks to support workflow and meet production targets
  • Verify dough quality-including texture, batch timing, and readiness-to ensure proper processing
  • Set and monitor line control parameters to maintain product specifications
  • Lead and guide production employees to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to GMPs
  • Monitor equipment conditions and communicate mechanical concerns to supervisors
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while upholding food safety standards
  • Record quality checks, weights, and downtime accurately using required systems (e.g., Mii)

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of food production or related manufacturing experience
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate daily tasks and employee workflow
  • Strong communication, decision making, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and meet other physical job requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and teambased work

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Experience in bakery manufacturing
  • Knowledge of dough handling and production equipment
  • Experience using production tracking systems such as Mii
  • Strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
