Operations Manager
About the Opportunity
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, storing, and packing. They ensure company objectives are met in safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost, and profitability during the weekend shift (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) from 5:00am to 5:30pm.
Responsibilities- Direct and manage shipping and/or receiving orders, including loading trucks, inspecting materials or product, and reconciling advanced shipping notices and bills of materials to assure accuracy.
- Manage dock traffic and ensure that all logistics suppliers follow appropriate policies and procedures.
- Maintain month‑to‑month inventory of work‑in‑process product and finished goods.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies, including stretch film, poly bags, shrinks, glue, and other consumable materials.
- Direct and participate in cycle counts and physical inventory processes as required.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to meet internal and external customer on‑time delivery demands.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels to assure production requirements are met and be accountable for departmental key performance metrics.
- Provide guidance on staffing, training, employee relations, and performance management to develop and enhance the salaried and hourly shipping and receiving team.
- Maintain industry, professional, and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications.
- Associate’s degree required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of and ability to use and influence the organization’s policies, standards, and procedures governing manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products.
- Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components.
- Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Knowledge of processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Knowledge of day‑to‑day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility.
Physical Requirements
Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with occasional time in an office setting. Requires frequent walking and standing; occasional lifting up to 25lbs; occasional travel may be required.
Compensation & BenefitsExpected salary range: $57,064 – $71,330 annually. Eligible for an annual incentive plan and a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic term life, AD&D, short‑ and long‑term disability, EAP, 401(k) retirement savings plan, PTO, and paid holidays.
