Job Description
- Remove finished product from machines and inspect product to ensure quality specifications have been met and packaging requirements are completed according to the production work order.
- Read work orders for product specifications and special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samples.
- Inspect products for customer requirements and any defects.
- Assist in start‑up and change‑over of machinery or orders.
- Perform all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basis.
- Adhere to all packaging requirements per Production Work Order.
- Enter production in JDE and print all necessary paperwork, including closing out the last skid of the order.
- Complete at least one Workplace Observation per month.
- Place customer labels on the end of cartons or gaylords in a straight and neat manner.
- Adhere to identification sheets, tally sheets, and bar codes as requested by the customer.
- Follow AIB Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures and practices.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety by keeping a clean and orderly work area.
- Maintain paperwork in order and avoid mixing completed or pending orders.
- Know how to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Have manual dexterity.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment.
